Dr. Shelby Lowery was born at a Naval Air Station, in Keflavik Iceland, where her mother and father were serving in the United States Navy. Dr. Lowery moved around to several bases/states until she attended college at the University of Arkansas. She was elected President of the Pre-Veterinary Club before graduating in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. After completing her bachelor’s degree, Dr. Lowery moved to Little Rock. She worked as a veterinarian assistant at Hillcrest Animal Hospital before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts. Dr. Lowery completed her clinical training at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine before graduating with the class of 2022. Dr. Lowery has an interest in dentistry, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, as well as large and small animal internal medicine, particularly in equestrian medicine. During her free time, Dr. Lowery enjoys hiking with her dog Heidi, horseback riding, boating, fishing and spending time on the beach.
